Tres Azul

HEX:
#71C1FD

RGB:
113/193/253

Description:
I wanted to create a color for my brother Trés, who loves "baby blue." The nearest official color to baby blue is "Maya blue," which in Spanish is called: "azul Maya." This is where I derived "tres azul" from. The biggest difference between Maya blue and tres azul is that each of the RGB digits now end in a '3'; a natural choice, given "tres" is the Spanish word for "three." :)

Joker White

HEX:
#DCD8F8

RGB:
220/216/248

Description:
This is roughly the same color used for the protagonist's hair in "Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker," an awesome DS role-playing game. The title seemed fairly apt here, since the color deviates quite a bit from being a true white.

Joker Black

HEX:
#261E2E

RGB:
38/30/46

Description:
This color was inspired by "Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker," a really fun role-playing game for the DS that uses a wide variety of light and dark purples throughout. Since the hue deviates rather far from being a true black, I wanted to keep the "Joker" moniker.

Hive Yellow

HEX:
#FDF51D

RGB:
253/245/29

Description:
Probably the most self-explanatory color creation I've posted thus far. While it's not my favorite shade of yellow, the hue is just bright and cheerful enough to represent my online persona accurately. =P

Exelica Blue

HEX:
#665CA1

RGB:
102/92/161

Description:
"Trigger Heart Exelica" is a multi-platform shooting game that utilizes some really outstanding purple color-schemes; the most common hue being this one. Lavender, purple, grey, and especially blue, are all combined to display a unique mix of strong and soft.

Shiki

HEX:
#5F4444

RGB:
95/95/68

Description:
What looks like a reference to red bean paste, is actually a homage to the lead female character in "The World Ends With You," a really unique game for the DS.

Frozen Grass

HEX:
#04E18B

RGB:
4/225/139

Description:
With this color, I had a few too many names to choose from: "Frosted Grass," "Green Frost," "Frost Green," etc. Eventually, I settled on whatever conjured up the best imagery for me, even though it may not be the most suitable name for a Crayola crayon.

Mallion

HEX:
#350606

RGB:
53/6/6

Description:
The name "Mallion" came to me while brainstorming up some antagonistic last names for a cerebral character in my screenplay. Later on, long after I had finally settled on that name, I discovered that the word means "stupid" in the Urban Dictionary...

Paprika Powder

HEX:
#D83A06

RGB:
216/58/6

Description:
Paprika is a really vibrant reddish-orange spice, whether it's grounded or raw. This color probably took me the longest to create, since hues vary.

Sodium Chloride

HEX:
#C1CDFD

RGB:
193/205/252

Description:
Otherwise known as "salt," this is one food additive that gives off a blue hue when piled in chunks.
